just beyond the Lower-level Lean-to area NEAREST PARKING: The lower-level parking lot off Boyhaven road just two-tenths of a mile from the Route 29 turn-off DROP-OFF ACCESS: With the Ranger’s permission (and a key to the gate) a limited number of vehicles may drive to the pavilion via Burma Road to drop off and pick up gear. Alternatively, and preferably, Scouts may borrow "camp carts" to transport food and equipment from the parking lot RENTAL FEE: No charge for day use! WATER SUPPLY – WARM SEASONS: Spigot across Burma Road from Banker II near the trail that goes up the hill or a spigot up the road in the Ranger campsite, just across the metal bridge over Frink's Brook WATER SUPPLY – WINTER: Spigot on the south side of the White House or on the entrance side of Winter Barracks NEAREST LATRINE: One conveniently located just across Burma Road from the pavilion. RESERVATION PROCEDURE: Contact Ranger Gus for availability and instructions at (518) 885-7800 CHECK IN PROCEDURE : As soon as you arrive in Camp, please check in at the White House so that Ranger Gus knows you have arrived safely and so that he can give you instructions, answer your questions, and open the gate to the parking lot. |
