LEAN-TO CAMPING AT BOYHAVEN
GENERAL INFORMATION Each of the listed lean-tos is a three-sided structure designed to capture heat from an external (and safely distanced) open fire. Some have built-in bunks which have plywood decks and require some padding for a comfortable night’s sleep. Padding is also a good idea for the bunk-less lean-tos as well! (Hay is not provided). Foam mattresses work great! Without exception, there is plenty of space for tenting in each lean-to site. Oftentimes lean-tos are rented only for gear storage and/or cooking in inclement weather. Garbage policy: Pack it in; pack it out.Click on the LEAN-TO AREA NAME in the table for more specific information RESERVATION PROCEDURE All lean-to rental arrangements must be made through the Twin Rivers Council Office. You should call the Council Office (869-6436) prior to submitting your paperwork to check on the availability of your selected lean-to(s) for the weekend you have chosen to visit Camp.CHECK IN PROCEDURE As soon as you arrive in Camp, please check in at the White House so that Ranger Gus knows that you have made it to Camp Boyhaven safely and so that he can give you instructions, answer your questions, open the gate to the parking lot, and answer your questions.ENJOY YOUR STAY AT CAMP BOYHAVEN! |
