~ BUTLER LODGE ~ LOCATION: Butler Lodge is located on the upper level of Camp, in the woods just west of Carter Hall. NEAREST PARKING: Winter Barracks parking lot located behind the White House DROP-OFF ACCESS: With the Ranger’s permission (and a key to the gate) a limited number of vehicles may drive directly to the cabin via Murray Road to drop off and pick up camping equipment and supplies. Alternatively, and preferably, Scouts may borrow "camp carts" to transport their food and gear from the parking lot. CABIN CAPACITY: 6 WEEKEND RENTAL FEE: $24 (in-Council Units); $36 (out-of-Council Units) KITCHEN FACILITIES: The cabin has no kitchen facilities except for using the wood stove as a heating surface. It is permissible to use propane camp stoves (only) inside the cabin. ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND OUTLETS: Yes HEATING: Wood stove FIREWOOD SUPPLY: Inside the cabin. Please replenish the supply from the camp woodshed before you leave. See Ranger Gus for instructions. WATER SUPPLY – WARM SEASONS: Spigot in the Pioneer campsite, east of the Lodge WATER SUPPLY – WINTER: Spigot on south side of the White House to the right of the porch and a spigot on the entrance-end of Winter Barracks, to the right of the door NEAREST LATRINE: Pioneer campsite to the east of the Lodge or directly behind Carter Hall that is only a two-minute-hike away NEAREST SHOWERHOUSE: New facility on Murray Lane north of the Parade Field or the recently renovated showerhouse behind Carter Hall OTHER CAMPING FACILITIES NEARBY: Butler Lodge is not far from Banker I and the Pioneer campsite which has several lean-tos and plenty of open space for tent-camping.
