Morgan Pavilion
in the William J. May Cub Scout Area

Morgan Pavilion...a great place for a Pack Picnic!   This area of Camp Boyhaven has traditionally been used for Cub Scout activities, particularly Cub Day Camp. In 1983, the Day Camp was named for William J. May, a former Scoutmaster, former President of Schenectady County Council, and an active member of the Council Executive Board. Although Day Camp is no longer held here, this site continues to serve as an important program area for the Cub and Webelos Scout summer resident camps.

Located in the heart of the William J. May Cub Camp is the spacious open-air Morgan Pavilion named in memory of a former Schenectady Scouter, Charles B. Morgan. Mr. Morgan was an Eagle Scout and former Scoutmaster of Troop 18. He entered the professional Scouting ranks and served as the Exploring Executive and also as Boyhaven Summer Camp Director from 1975 to 1977. Chuck, as he was known to all, was an unselfish and giving individual. He was always ready to help other leaders complete their tasks in spite of his own busy schedule.
