Brereton Athletic Field
This athletic field was named in honor of Donald S. Brereton, a man who has
served in local Scouting since 1953 as an Executive Board Member, Council Vice
President (1967-69), and Council President (1970-72). Currently, Mr. Brereton
serves the Boy Scouts of America as a member of the National Council, the
National Activities Committee, the Northeast Region Committee, the Area 2
Executive Committee, and the Twin Rivers Council Executive Board.
You may have played baseball or soccer here already or maybe you'll be out there on Brereton Field tomorrow catching a long fly ball or kicking a last-minute goal for your Scout Team. But you are, or will be, only one of hundreds of Scouts who have come to enjoy the wide open space and level playing fields which, not too many years ago, were rocky and not-so-level pastures for Farmer Frink's livestock!
